I'm not married with kids, but I do have a dog so I know how they take over our hearts.Your story holds my attention the entire time because I am interested in it. I wanted to know if you got another dog?? I have been in that situation "I'll not have another dog" but I do anyway. I think the personal pictures adds to your story, making it seem real. Not just face pictures, but your real life photos. Honestly, I think this is wonderful and I can't wait to see the final product!
Kelly, This is such a beautiful story. I love your pictures of Jethro. He looks like a real sweetheart. We have a dog with a very sweet personality, too, so I understand the attachment you can feel. I guess the key question would probably have to be something about how we may never expect the ways in which a pet can become a giving, loving part of a family, and even a protector. Your story really conveys the unconditional love Jethro has, and how he just seems to be able to tell who needs him the most and in what ways. I could really relate to the beginning of the story, when you were so hesitant to get another dog because Mom always becomes the caretaker of the new pet in the family (we just got a new kitten that my husband randomly brought home:) ). Your story is very touching and I enjoyed reading through the journey.
