1. Purpose: This story was about a person finding and adopting a new dog. 2. Dramatic Question: “After 16 years of owning a dog, I found myself dog free.” 3. Emotion: A lot of people can relate to owning a dog and adopting one. Animals are so close to our hearts and are empty when we lose them. 4. Economy: The timing of this story was nicely done. 5. Images: The images went right along with the story and flowed nicely. The images were great to see because they were yours. 6. Audio: The music you chose for the end went right along with your story. I love the sticker that you have on your car. I have a dog that we adopted when she was three months old and she has been with me ever since (5 years ago). I think that your story is very well written and I wouldn’t change anything.
1. Purpose- bringing a new animal to love into your life 2. Dramatic Question- You found yourself dog free after 16 years! 3. Emotion- AH! so much emotion! Not gonna lie, the picture from the shelter and the thought of all the sad dogs made me misty in the eyes. 4. Economy- a very good length to tell your story 5. Images- all of your personal pictures make to story really come to life and makes me feel like I was involved somehow 6. Audio- Music was nice. I really like the part at the end when you said that you don't tell him he is on a weekly basis anymore.. the way you made the music start right then was a good touch.
Overall, I think this is great and really, I can't say that I'd change anything! I also know how it feels to say "no more pets" but then I saw my Scruffy (whom I've had 9 years!!) as a scared stray and I instantly loved her. I also really like your who rescued who sticker. So fitting for your husband and Jethro!!
Kelly, What a great story about your “new” dog Jethro. Your narration adds so much to it, as compared to just reading it on your storyboard. I liked hearing the emotion in your voice, the emphasis you put on certain things. It really added to the story. Your music came in at the end in a good place, to kind of signal that you were wrapping up your narrative. I like where you placed it. The images and photos were all very effective throughout the story and really personalized it well. I’m glad you found such a wonderful dog! and especially that he helped to save your husband’s life. That ought to pay his room and board for a lifetime! Nice story! I don't know what could be changed or improved, if anything.
Kelley, I really enjoyed your story about you finally having time for you, and then finding your dog Jethro. I started laughing when you were describing going to look at new dogs, and your husband and daughters reactions. And the pictures you used for the story were very nice, and I agree, it would be hard to look into those eyes and not want to take him home. Your story was a nice length and I liked the music at the end.
The best thing about your story is: The personality of it.. where you describe your family and hoe they react. I would like to know more about: your previous pets One thing you should think about changing is: I have no suggestions as I feel like you have done a wonderful job with this assignment. Another thing I like about your story is: is the music that you add to the end when you are about finished speaking. I also love the images you chose.
I really like how the pictures you used went so well with your narration, and that they were personal. I also liked how you described your family at the animal shelter-the idea of them teaming up against you to make it to home base and bring a dog home. I think your overall purpose/dramatic question is determining how much value having a dog adds to your life, as the beginning of the story talks about what a burden it is, and the end shows how rewarding it is.
I love how everything has come together so well. Your story flows very nicely. I love the emotional content of your video, and I think that's the best part about it. Anyone with a dog that's part of the family would understand.
Purpose: The story of your dog! Dramatic Question: New dog? Emotion: As a dog mother, I find this video very emotional. It's great that you adopted when went looking for a new dog, as most people don't. My current dog came into my life after my childhood dog passed, and though I know it would give me more freedom, I don't think I could ever go dog-less. It's very clear from your story that your dog is just as much part of your family. Economy: It's a great length for your story. Images: All your images are personal, and they go great with how you're telling your story. Audio: Your narration is clear and easy to understand. Great job!
Jethro the hero!!! This was a wonderful story. I am a huge dog lover, so I immediately thought Jethro was handsome pup. We really never can explain or describe the impact that dogs have on our lives. Sometimes they can be a pain in the butt, but sometimes they end up saving our lives in many ways. I really liked this digital story. If I had to make a change, I would maybe bring up the levels of the sound at the end. It sounded like a good song choice, but I wanted more of it. Excellent story!! Thanks, Michael Gallimore
The best thing about your story is the way the pictures went with the narration. I would not change anything if I were you. It was a very well-put together story. The flow was nice, and I liked the personality you included in the narration.
